Sofyan tested the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid Calligraphy and got a 0-60 time of 7.1 seconds, which is quicker than I thought! I was expecting it to be over 8 seconds. For comparison, the lighter 2025 Tucson Hybrid managed 6.6 seconds.
He did mention a couple of downsides, like the slow transmission shifts and the jarring transition between gas and electric power.

I tested mine and got 7.4 seconds.
Honestly, it’s not fast or slow—it’s just right for a vehicle like this. It feels peppy in city driving, where the electric torque really kicks in.
I also tow with mine, and it handles great:
4-person jet ski: ~900 lbs on the trailer
Fishing boat: ~1,500 lbs on the trailer
ATV: ~950 lbs on a 5x8 trailer

@Corey
Same here. I’ve been surprised by how much ‘get up and go’ it has. It’s more than enough for everyday driving.

My only complaint is the engine. I wish they had used the V6 from the Genesis GV70/80.

You mean the 3.5L turbo? That feels like overkill for a car like this, don’t you think?

@Presley
There’s no such thing as overkill! My daily driver has 600hp.

Using a V6 would defeat the whole point of a midsize hybrid crossover focused on economy. If you want the 3.5L turbo, just get the GV80.
