Just wanted to share my experience with my Santa Fe. Loving the ride so far!
What city are you in? 38mpg is really impressive!

I’m in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Winter is wrecking my MPG!

Yeah, I’ve noticed that too. A cold battery really drops efficiency. The engine alone gets around 22mpg, but in EV mode, I can get up to 30mpg. Can’t wait for warmer weather!
That was my dream color, but I had to give up on it. Such a beauty!

I was obsessed with the color too, but once I saw how dirty the matte finish looked in winter and learned about the upkeep… I had to pass.
@Isan
I have this color, and honestly, it’s not that bad. I got a ceramic coating, and it makes washing super easy. Did a half-effort hand wash, towel dried it, and it still looked clean even two weeks later in the middle of winter. That said, I probably wouldn’t have gone for the matte finish without the PPF and ceramic coating.
@Isan
I ended up with matte grey, so I still deal with all the extra maintenance.
Summer in Australia is brutal. Gotta keep the AC blasting all the time (hit 105°F today!). Still managing 34.5mpg over 6,000 miles, though.
Just finished my first full tank—got 33mpg and around 500 miles on it. I live in a cold area and mostly drive in eco mode, but I had to use snow mode a couple of times. I think adaptive cruise really helps—seems like the real-time MPG gauge keeps jumping to 60 when I use it.
