I have a 2025 Santa Fe preferred with trend package and I’ve seen people posting pictures of updates in progress. I tried checking for updates, but I got a message saying ‘bluelink extra service not active.’ After looking into it, it seems like OTA updates might not be available in Canada. Has anyone found a workaround? How important are these updates anyway?
I don’t know. I’m in the US and I haven’t received any updates since September.
Same here in Canada. I’ve had my 2024 since July and still no OTA update. I saw another Canadian post saying they got theirs in March but haven’t had any since. You could try emailing Hyundai Canada, though from my experience their customer support isn’t great unless you’re leaving positive feedback. Honestly, if your car isn’t having any issues, the updates aren’t really necessary. The US got a sports feature, but it’s mostly been small updates.

Yeah, the spring thaw will probably cause all the updates to hit at once and crash the system. Happens every year.
I’m also in the same situation. Bought mine in April and still haven’t received any OTA updates. I guess if it’s not broken, don’t fix it? But it’s strange that we don’t get OTA updates in Canada.
