First time leasing… is this a good deal?

I’m in NYC—does the doc fee usually run this high?

The price looks good with no money down, but I want to make sure I’m not missing anything. What do you guys think? Thanks!

That doc fee would make me walk away.

Most people drive more than 3,333 miles per year. What happens if you go over?

I was assuming it’s a 10k miles per year allowance, but I’ll double-check with the broker.

@Wyatt
I rack up about 5k miles every couple of months. Keep an eye on your speedometer.

If it’s 10k miles per year, that’s pretty standard for leases.

Uh, yeah… not a great deal.

That doc fee is crazy high, but I’m surprised your monthly payment is that low with $0 down. What’s the breakdown?

My lease is $574/month with no money down for 36 months. Don’t remember the residual, but your deal sounds similar. Seems decent to me.

I’m paying $448.92/month for an SEL in NJ. Just for reference.

If this is for the Calligraphy trim, then $574/month sounds pretty good.

Too many fees and taxes.

I’m in NYC too, and that doc fee is ridiculous. NY caps doc fees at $175, so I’d look for a local dealer or broker.

The lease itself isn’t bad. Back in July, I got Bay Ridge Hyundai down to $650/month with only $650 out of pocket on a Limited AWD, and that was without much negotiating.

Not the worst deal, but that doc fee is insane.

Yeah, that’s what I thought. I keep asking the broker about it, but they won’t give me a straight answer.

I’ve been in car sales for a long time, and honestly, this is still a good deal overall. If they won’t budge on the doc fee, I wouldn’t stress too much—it evens out in the end.

Definitely not a good deal. A $999 doc fee and only 10k miles per year over 3 years? Run away from this one.
