How's the 1.5 Truxxx lift with 18" rims and AT tires on the Calligraphy Hybrid?

After a few weeks and a 500-mile road trip, I can say that adding the 1.5 Truxxx lift and swapping out the low-profile 21" tires for 18" rims and AT tires has been a great decision. The 18" rims and AT tires give the vehicle a whole new look, and the ride quality is much better. It went from good to great in my opinion. If you’re thinking about doing something similar, I haven’t noticed any downsides so far.

Slick!! What brand of tires did you get? If I get a Sante Fe, I plan to do the limited hybrid trim, do the Truxx lift and put on Falken Wildpeaks!

You know, I wanted the Falken tire too, but they weren’t available in the size I wanted. So I went with Hercules tires. So far, so good.

@Val
Hercules are good tires.

What did you spend for the Truxx lift + install? For rims + tires + install? Thinking about Truxx especially. Thanks.

The Truxx kit was around $500, and the install took about 3.5 hours. All in, including tires, rims, and install, the upgrade cost me about $2500. It could’ve been more if I spent more on rims and tires, but I wanted to keep the Calligraphy stock look as much as I could and still be mindful of my budget.

Looks nice, congrats! I guess you could call it an XRT Prestige Edition.

Love it… Can you post more photos including the rear? What about the warranty? Will this void anything? I’m getting the clear shield and tint done today. My Sante Fe Hybrid Calligraphy has 123 miles, Ectonic Grey. So far, love this vehicle.

@Milo
There are no warranty issues with the Truxx lift.

@Milo
Hey, are you me? I have the same one with the same mileage! OP’s car looks great, nice work. Personally, I would love a small lift, full tint, and running boards, but I do like the Calligraphy wheels, so I’d keep those. This is all a fantasy though since my wife wouldn’t let me. I did debadge, though—I’m not a fan of big letters on cars.

Curious why change out the 21" tires? Were they premium? The rims look great on the 21" hybrid tires, in my opinion.

Agreed, the 21" tires did look great. But the low-profile Pirelli tires were concerning in snow and winter conditions. I wanted more aggressive tread and better ground clearance. I tried to maintain the look but improve the function.
