After 5,000 miles of driving exclusively in Eco mode, I’m averaging 30.6 MPG. Curious to hear what others are getting!
A layer of dust on the gauges reduces MPG by 25%!
I’ve seen people report MPG anywhere from the mid-20s up to 40. What kind of driving do you do—mostly highway or city? And how’s the weather where you live?

Mostly city driving, and I don’t commute daily. This is after about six months. I’m in Colorado, so summers are hot, and winters are fairly mild.
Do you use the regenerative braking system? I keep mine at level 2 and I’m averaging just over 34 MPG in the city.

I drive in one-pedal mode almost all the time, so I think so?
@Bailey
Not exactly. You can use the paddles on the steering wheel to adjust the regen braking strength manually.
I drive with two pedals and keep things pretty gentle. I get 35-36 MPG in warm winter weather. On the freeway at 85 MPH, it drops to around 31. I don’t use the paddles for regen—I just let the brake pedal handle it.
Hybrids tend to lose around 30% efficiency in cold weather, so that could be a factor.
I’m at 6,000 miles and averaging 34.1 MPG. It seems to improve slightly with every fill-up. I use the auto-regen feature (pull the right paddle back for a few seconds), and I drive normally in Eco mode. I also have long on-ramps, so I don’t need to floor it getting onto the highway. The torque band on this thing is ridiculously wide!
