Key fob on 2024 Santa Fe won't work right

My 2024 Santa Fe SEL key fob only works when I hold it up to the push button start. Other warning lights come on too. I thought it was a dead fob battery, but after replacing it, the problem still happens.

I took it to the dealer, and they’ve had it for two weeks but still can’t figure out the issue. They’ve torn the car apart and replaced parts they thought could be the problem, but no luck. I got a loaner today, and someone from Hyundai (maybe corporate?) is supposed to come next week.

Has anyone dealt with this or heard about it?

That usually means the fob battery is dead, but if the fob is new, it’s really strange.

Yeah, the key fob was the first thing they checked. They’ve practically taken the car apart, replaced parts they thought might be the issue, but nothing’s worked so far.

I’m kind of frustrated because I really love the car otherwise.

If both key fobs are acting up, it might be a problem with the car itself. Have you tried setting up your phone to unlock the car?

I haven’t set up my phone yet. The dealer is still working on it and said they’ve never seen this issue before.

These new Santa Fes, man… Every day I hear something weird about these models. It’s almost like the factory rushed them out to meet demand and now quality control is struggling.
