Need Help Deciding Between Santa Fe, Sorento or Used BMW X3

Have you thought about the Telluride?

I would get the Telluride in a heartbeat if it weren’t for the fuel economy.

I own a 2016 BMW X6 and a 2024 Kia EV9. My wife drives the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe. The EV9 is amazing, super comfortable and fun to drive. My wife’s Santa Fe is packed with features and drives nice too. She has the AWD version, which has a bit more aggressive acceleration compared to the FWD. As for the BMW, it’s a beast! Nothing handles the road like it does, no matter what I throw at it!

The Santa Fe and Sorento will likely be much more reliable than the X3. BMWs are great for the first 2-3 years, but after that, maintenance can get expensive.

That’s not true. Look at the DCT issues with some models. I hope the Santa Fe doesn’t have similar issues.

The G generation of BMWs are really reliable if you keep up with basic maintenance. I’ve got a 2020 BMW M340i, and it’s been pretty cheap to maintain so far.

@Kiran
In my opinion, 4 years isn’t long enough to judge reliability.

@Kiran
What’s the ‘G’ generation?

The ‘G’ generation just refers to the current BMW models. Like the G20 for the M340i.
