First time owning a Hyundai and also my first Santa Fe! It’s fully blacked out inside and out. I’ve noticed a burning smell, like plastic or rubber, and I’m wondering if this is just leftover residue from manufacturing burning off? I’m taking it to the dealer on Tuesday to get a hitch installed, so I’ll mention it then. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks!
I noticed the same thing during the first week. The smell went away after that.
Yeah, I had the same issue, but it disappeared after a few days. Mine isn’t a hybrid, though.

I checked with my wife, and neither of us remember smelling anything like that on our 2025 Hybrid Calligraphy. I’m pretty sensitive to stuff like this too.
I had the same issue with my hybrid. The smell lasted for about three weeks and then went away.
