New tires after 10,400 miles?

For context, this is regarding a 2024 K5 GT Line FWD. I live in Phoenix, AZ, and when the temperature drops, I typically need to add air to my tires. I received my annual low-pressure warning and got the tires inflated. The shop measured the tread depth and found it to be 6/32 all around, recommending replacement at 5/32. Has anyone else experienced this? I thought tires should last at least 30,000 miles.

2/32 or when they reach the wear indicators. Tell them to get lost and avoid that scam shop in the future.

My car has 44,000 miles, and the tires are still in good shape. Surprisingly, my roommate’s car has 57,000 miles, and his tires are also fine. We live in Orlando, FL.

Get a second opinion. I replaced my tires at 27,000 miles even though they still had some tread left because I wanted to ensure safety on the road.

I literally got 60,000 out of my first set with my brand new 21. So of course I bought the exact same tires when it was time to get new ones!!! And I speed everywhere I go. :slightly_smiling_face:

Replace them at 2/32 or when they reach the wear indicators. Advise them to go somewhere else and avoid returning to that untrustworthy place.
