We took out one of the rear seats in our 2024 Santa Fe to create more space for hauling taller items. My husband built a flat platform over the wiring to protect it. But now, we’ve noticed the rear seat warmer for the remaining seat (on the passenger side) no longer works.
Is there any way to get it working again, or is this just how it’s going to be now? Guess our passengers will have to live with it, lol.
It’s possible the seats are wired in series instead of parallel.
If that’s the case, the fuse for the rear seat heaters could connect to seat #1, and then seat #2 connects through seat #1. By removing seat #1, seat #2 may not have a complete connection anymore. Just a guess, but maybe switching the seats around could help?

He unplugged the wiring from the seat we removed and covered it with a platform to keep it protected. I think the two seats must be connected somehow?
@Rey
I think @Quillan is onto something about it being connected in series instead of parallel. Not sure there’s much we can do without risking messing something up. It’s a little disappointing because I’ve never had a car with rear heated seats, and now when I occasionally sit in the back (like when we drive my father-in-law), I can’t enjoy it! But hey, I’ll survive, lol.

Maybe you should’ve just gone with a truck?
Trust me, we researched a ton before settling on the Santa Fe. Even a small truck wouldn’t fit in our garage, and you can’t store XC skis in a truck bed the way you can in the Santa Fe! Funny enough, our old 2012 Ford Escape could hold way more than most of today’s SUVs.
