Santa Fe 2024 with Apple CarKey unlock/relock issues

I’ve been using Apple CarKey with my 2024 Santa Fe, so I can unlock, lock, and drive without a traditional key. I also have my Apple Watch as a backup and a wallet key card for emergencies. Everything usually works as expected, but sometimes the car doesn’t auto-unlock. Occasionally, when I grab the door handle, the car unlocks, but then it immediately locks again, which is frustrating, especially with passengers. Unlocking my phone and selecting Hyundai from my wallet usually resolves the issue, but it’s inconsistent.

Anyone else using CarKey experiencing similar issues?

I use CarKey regularly with my iPhone and Apple Watch, and it works most of the time. Maybe try pulling the handle just once and waiting a bit; that sometimes resolves any delay for me.

Yes, it’s available through Google Wallet, but you need a phone with UWB support, like the Pixel 7 Pro.

Ah, thanks. I have an S24, which doesn’t support UWB.

The S24 Ultra does support digital keys.

I generally use a traditional key, but when I do use a digital key, it works about 95% of the time after some initial issues. I find that putting my hand in the door handle sometimes helps if it doesn’t auto-unlock immediately. You could also try calling Bluelink support if this continues, as they might have insights.

Maybe I’m accidentally triggering it by holding the handle too close to that area. I’ll try grabbing the left side of the handle to see if that helps.

I’ve been using a digital key on my iPhone 14 Pro, and it works about 99% of the time without issues.

I have a Galaxy S21 with the digital key in my Samsung Wallet. It works around 50% of the time for me, which is really annoying.
