Santa Fe saved me from a crash today… anyone else impressed by the safety features?

I was driving on a three-lane road in the far-right lane, going just under the speed limit. I turned on my indicator to switch into the middle lane and waited for it to clear. As I started steering left, the collision alarm went off, and the Santa Fe automatically steered me back to avoid a car that had just moved into the same lane behind me.

Coming from cars without these features, I’m convinced this prevented a side or rear-end collision. The safety features in this car are incredible and give me so much peace of mind.

What model year and trim do you have?

It’s a 2025 Hybrid Limited with FWD.

Totally agree! We got the 2025 Hybrid Calligraphy, and it’s amazing. The HUD and captain’s seats sold us on this trim.

The features are great, but they don’t help much when you’re sitting at a red light and someone rear-ends you… speaking from experience.

I feel that… I’ve had a similar experience with a previous car. Sorry to hear that happened to you!

I’ve seen it auto-brake to avoid hitting the car in front in similar situations, though. That’s definitely been helpful.
