Thinking of getting the 2024 Santa Fe Limited… Is it worth it?

I’ve always liked the design of the Santa Fe and finally feel ready to make a move. There’s a 2024 Santa Fe Limited (gas model) at a local dealer with a $10,000 discount because they’re clearing out 2024 models.

I want to go for it, but I’ve heard some stuff about transmission issues (DCT problems) with the 2024 gas models. Apparently, it’s just a software fix?

Should I go ahead with this deal or spend more on the 2025 version?

That $10k off is insane. You should go for it!

Yes, go for it. The DCT issue was just a software thing. Mine came with the fix, and I haven’t had any problems.

Wait, $10k off? That’s a crazy deal!

Exactly! That’s why I’m trying to figure out if there are any risks before I commit.

Don’t tell anyone about the deal until it’s yours. Someone might snatch it up! I’d go for it, especially at that discount. Just make sure the dealer isn’t sneaking in extra fees.

@Rory
Also, if your credit is decent, Hyundai has 0% financing on these models. Check their website for details.

I own one, and I love it! That’s an amazing deal. The 2024 and 2025 models are almost identical. You’re getting a steal.

I’ve been seeing Limited trims go for $40k lately. Prices have dropped a lot since the summer.

Are those 2024 models or 2025?

Mostly 2024s, but the 2025s aren’t priced much higher.

Where are you located? What’s the MSRP on the one you’re looking at?

MSRP is standard everywhere since it’s set by Hyundai. The discount is what’s making this deal unique.

You should consider the hybrid instead. It’s only about $500 more, has better gas mileage (great for city driving), and the start/stop is super smooth. Also, I’m skeptical that a transmission issue can really be fixed with just software.

@Kei
Normally I’d agree with you, but with a $10k discount, the gas model is hard to pass up.

Yeah, this is for the 2024 gas model. The 2025 hybrid would definitely cost way more.
