I ordered the 2025 Santa Fe Hybrid Preferred with the Trim Package. It’s such a head-turner compared to the older models! We used to have a 2012, but the new design looks like a mix between a Lincoln Navigator and a Land Rover.
I put in my order back in October, and they initially said it’d be here by January or February. Then they pushed it to spring, and now my contract says June 2025. That feels so far away!
Has anyone here gotten a more solid delivery date for theirs? Or do you think I should wait it out, or go for a 2026 model instead if it’s delayed even more?
I was in the same boat! Went to the dealership a few weeks back, but they told me it’d be over a year to get one. I checked every dealership in my area, no luck.
Then I found one listed as incoming at a dealer in the next province. Called them up, but they said it was sold. Luckily, someone canceled an order for another one arriving at the end of the month. I put a deposit down, and I’m picking it up this Friday.
If you’re tired of waiting, I’d suggest checking other dealerships and see if you get lucky!

That’s awesome! Did you get the color you wanted?
It’s crazy how popular these cars are right now.
I originally wanted black, but the one available was pebble blue. As long as it had a black interior, I was fine with it, and I’m super happy with my choice!
@Finn
I ordered pebble blue back in September and still waiting. The dealership told me that even though hybrids are arriving this month, they prioritize selling them to buyers paying above MSRP. So frustrating!
I ordered my Santa Fe Hybrid Preferred with the Trend Package in June and am finally picking it up this Thursday! It’s a 2025 model in pebble blue, and I’m in Newfoundland.
We lucked out. The dealership we went to had one arriving the following week that wasn’t claimed yet. We put down a deposit and snagged it.
For anyone still looking, try the Hyundai Canada website. Put in nearby postal codes, and it’ll show inventory and incoming cars. A lot will already be sold, but you might find one available if you act fast.
Depositing at multiple dealerships could help you get one sooner, but you might not get much choice in the color.
Talk to your dealer. They can tell you when the VIN is assigned, when it arrives at the port, and how long it’ll take to transport it to you. This info can give you a better idea of when it might arrive.

That’s incredible. What city are you in? Did you need to stick with the dealership where you placed the deposit?
The deposit was refundable, and I ended up going with a different dealership that had my preferred color. I’m in Edmonton, and Alberta dealers seem to have more inventory than other places.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll check if my deposit is refundable and shop around. I’m in Toronto, though, so it might be tougher to find one here.
Yeah, I’m in BC, and inventory is scarce here too. I had to fly to Alberta to pick mine up.
