Heated seats option is missing?

Hi all, I recently bought a 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid AWD and I’m loving it! Got it at the end of September. But I’ve noticed a few things have changed:

  • The heated seats option is gone from the remote start on the Hyundai app.
  • My car doesn’t unlock with the keys in my purse anymore. I have to take them out and hold them in front of the door.

My old 2014 Hyundai never had an issue unlocking with keys deep in my purse.

Anyone else seeing this?

A lot of us lost the seat heating/cooling option on remote start. Hoping it’s just a bug.

It better be a bug!

Oh no, really? :grimacing:

Wow, I just noticed mine is gone too. It was definitely there a couple weeks ago.

I don’t carry a purse, but I sometimes keep my keys in my backpack, and I’ve never had issues unlocking the car. I also use the digital key on my phone, so maybe that’s what’s being picked up. Digital key can be a bit glitchy, though.

@Vic
Hmm, I don’t use the digital key, but maybe I’ll try setting it up. I keep my key fob in a fanny pack, which is inside another bag, lol. I usually end up just using my phone to unlock it because it’s easier to find than the keys. :sweat_smile:

@Mica
Try changing the fob battery. Mine didn’t even last a year. I’ve had better luck with batteries from Dollar Tree than the ones Hyundai uses.

Also, if my phone and fob are too close to each other in my purse, they don’t get along.

Hopefully the heated seat remote option disappearing is just an error. I’d suggest everyone submit an app issue report to let them know we want it back, just in case they’re thinking of removing it permanently.

@Amir
I noticed that too. How do you submit an issue?

In the MyHyundai app, go to the bottom right ‘Menu,’ then scroll to ‘Help & Support,’ and select ‘Submit an app issue.’ You can also submit a report on their website, which has different prompts and may go to different teams. I did both to make sure they got the message.

Annoyed about the key in purse thing too. My ‘24 Calligraphy doesn’t have a proximity unlock option; you have to tap your thumb on the handle without gripping it to lock the car.

Interesting. I’ll try that! Surprised the Calligraphy doesn’t have proximity unlock.

Just noticed the heated seats option missing, too. Has anyone reached out to support?

I did, but I’m still waiting to hear back. They’re doing app maintenance until the 13th, so maybe that’s why.

Here’s the message that pops up in the app:

“Notice: From 11/6 until 11/13 between 9pm PST and 2am PST, there will be intermittent downtime affecting remote services and emergency assistance. If you need emergency assistance, please contact your local emergency services directly.”

@Sage
I sent an email to support, too.

The heated seat option is there if you click ‘Start Engine,’ then select ‘Engine Start Without Presets.’ It’s under ‘Seat Temperatures.’

Check under Climate Start. They moved some things there, and you can set climate/seats and start the vehicle from that menu.

If you go into settings, there’s a toggle for seating temperature.

Might be related to the app maintenance notice. I saw this message after reinstalling the app:
