Nice! Black interior is the best choice :relieved:

Awesome!! Love the color and your furry co-pilot! Not sure if you’ve thought about a graphene coating, but it might make washing it easier in the long run.

Congrats! How’s the hybrid treating you?

Loving it! No annoying engine stopping at red lights; it’s just a smooth transition.

Congrats! My husband and I are also in love with our 2025 Calligraphy in the same color. Welcome to the club!

I didn’t like this body style at first, but the more I see it, especially in different colors, the more I like it.

Looks even better in person. Beautiful ride!

Totally! The body style was a huge selling point for me. SUVs used to look like this; now, they’re mostly a mix of station wagons and minivans. I wanted an SUV that actually looks like one! :joy:

@Paxton
Good call! It’s a tough-looking SUV, yet sleek at the same time.

Congrats, it looks fantastic!

If you’re advising people to ‘do their research,’ maybe make sure you know what you’re talking about. Wouldn’t want to look like a fool by saying hybrids have transmission issues when it was actually the non-hybrid ones that had issues, which seem to be fixed now.

@Ashwin
Careful with ‘seemingly.’ I’ve got a gas model at the dealer with expired temp tags because it’s been in for repairs so long. Been dealing with this mess since August, and still no ETA on a fix.

@Axel
Was that before or after the update? I think they released a software fix around August.

And have you started the buyback process yet?

It was initially in for brake line repairs, and they had trouble getting parts, so it took forever. I tried to get Hyundai to start a buyback, but they’re dragging their feet. Got it back on Nov. 8, but some recalls still weren’t addressed, and during my test drive, it almost stalled. I’ve been using rentals and rideshares while they still have it, but they keep saying they don’t know when it’ll be fixed.

@Axel
Damn. What state are you in?

Delaware

In Delaware, if the car’s been out of service for over 30 days, the manufacturer has to repurchase or replace it.

Here’s what I’d do: call the dealership and ask to speak to the general manager. Be polite but firm. Tell them you’re starting the lemon law process and that you want this resolved without a lawyer if possible, but you’re prepared to go down that road.

Also, call Hyundai’s corporate number (844-462-5557) and initiate the buyback process. Don’t get off the phone until you talk to someone who can start the paperwork. Mention Delaware’s laws and emphasize you’ve been dealing with this since August.

@Axel
For anyone considering these models, I’d suggest going for the hybrid and avoiding the gas version. Honestly, this will be my first and last Hyundai—it’s been a nightmare.

@Axel
Wow, so you didn’t get the software update that was supposed to fix the transmission? Or is it a different transmission issue?
