I have a 2023 Santa Fe. Is there a way to have only the driver’s door unlock when I exit the car? For example, when I stop to get gas and leave my purse inside, can I keep the other doors locked while just the driver’s door unlocks? Thanks in advance!
Yes, there’s an option in the settings. I found it while exploring the menus. To unlock only the driver’s door, you can enable the ‘two press unlock’ feature:
- Press the Setup button
- Select Vehicle
- Select Door
- Press Unlock
- Check the Two press unlock box
This will make it so that pressing the unlock button once will only unlock the driver’s door. Pressing it again within a few seconds will unlock all doors.

That setting should definitely affect how it unlocks when you approach the car, but I think OP is asking about when they exit the car. I’m not sure if that setting works for that situation. On my wife’s car, the two-stage unlocking feature is on, but I don’t think I have to unlock anything manually when I’m getting out of the car from the passenger side.

Thank you for replying. Automaticman01 was right, I meant when I exit the car and want only the driver’s door to unlock.
You can enable the double tap unlock feature in the settings. This way, when you pull on the driver’s door, only that door unlocks. The other doors will unlock after you tap again.

Turn the car off. Hit the lock button on the inside of the door, then open your door. All the other doors stay locked except for the one you opened.

All doors remain locked except the one you opened.
