Is 30k miles too soon for tire replacement?

Hey, I have a 2022 Santa Fe Calligraphy with 30,000 miles on it, and my local mechanic said I should think about replacing the tires soon. Has anyone else had to replace their OEM tires between 30k-40k miles? My partner’s 2019 Rav 4 tires were changed at 40k. We’re in San Diego, where the roads aren’t great either. Would love to hear your thoughts!

OEM tires are usually lower-end and don’t last as long.

I replaced mine at 34k on my ‘22 XRT.

What brand did you go with?

Michelin Cross Climate 2’s, but I’m in Wisconsin, so that might be a different situation.

That’s not bad for OEM tires. 30k miles is pretty normal for those.

Thanks for the reassurance, I feel a bit better about it now.

You’re lucky! I’m only at 16k miles and I can’t wait to get new tires. These stock ones are already driving me crazy.

Hahaha, I feel your pain!

30k miles isn’t terrible, but if you trust your mechanic, it might be time to change them. Tires are super important for safety!

Yes, absolutely. Thanks for chiming in!
